Is GreenSky a lender? Who is my loan with?

GreenSky is not a lender. We are a service provider and program administrator for federally insured, federal and state-chartered banks that provide consumer loans under the GreenSky^® Programs.

As a borrower, you received a loan agreement that identifies the bank that is offering and funding your loan. This loan agreement is between you and the funding bank directly. However, GreenSky services your loan at the direction and control of your lender, so any questions you have should be directed to us.

Why does my credit report show "GreenSky"?

I thought I was applying for credit with my contractor or merchant?

Credit reporting is made in the GreenSky^® Program name to help you identify inquiries and reporting with your GreenSky^® Program loan. The actual loan agreement for your loan is between you and the bank that is funding your loan. However, GreenSky will be servicing your loan, so any questions you have should be directed to us.

Is my loan tax deductible?

We cannot provide you with tax advice. In general, however, GreenSky^® Program installment loans are personal loans and are not mortgages that qualify for a tax deduction.

What if I have a problem with my merchant, the loan or your company?

On behalf of all funding banks participating in the GreenSky^® Program, we want to ensure that you are fully satisfied with the GreenSky^® Program. Ok. So I’m conflicted on whether or not I had a good experience with this company. First I got a great price on a new tankless water heater install but this was apparently due to a previous employee failing to give a proper quote. Plumbers came to install and took the day to get it done. That was expected. When I went to pay though I discovered that the plumber had installed the wrong unit. Turns out the wrong unit didn’t have an internal recirculating pump. That is ok because I don’t have the plumbing to utilize the recirculating pump properly anyways. Now I had the issue that the quoted price was for the more expensive unit. The company graciously gave me a refund for the difference in unit costs and I continued on my way. The units are identical except for the recirculating pump so it’s not really a big deal. Minus one star that any of these issues even occurred because honestly, they shouldn’t have but given that they worked with me, gave me a further discount on an already mistakenly good price, I would definitely recommend them to anyone given their honesty and great customer service. This company is one of the few companies remaining with integrity. They care about fixing their mistakes and making it right with their customers. Thanks Heaton. I look forward to working with you in the future.

I contacted Heaton after a not so handy handyman attempted to install my new kitchen sink to old pipe and failed. Not knowing what he was doing the armature cut the pipe flush with the wall and found he could not connect new pipe and sink. You get what you paid for; best to do it right the first time. Two incredibly professional plumbers, a male and a female came promptly at 8:00 am. reviewed the work and gave me a price. They worked together as a team to make a difficult repair complete quickly and efficiently. The end price was way beyond what I expected for such a difficult job. I called at about 11:30 and a lady named Christina said a plumber could be there in a few hours. 30 minutes later the plumber showed up.He asked what the exact problem was and I explained it. He looked at the fixture, verified drains and clean out locations and told me the issue was probably a minor clog. A few minutes later the toilet was flushing exactly right. The plumber said we needed a new commode or we need to buy an auger. We are buying an auger this weekend.Qualified professionals doing quality work at a medium price. I was given excellent explanations as to why or why not something could be done. A day later they called with another idea alternative to digging a tunnel.
