Clean the Whole Pipe, Not Just the Clog
A standard drain snake breaks through a blockage, but the grease and buildup coating the pipe walls stay behind, and the clog often comes back. Hydro jetting solves that by blasting the inside of the line with high-pressure water, scouring the walls and flushing everything out.
It is the most thorough way to restore full flow in kitchen drains, main lines, and sewer lines. Hydro jetting is part of our complete drain cleaning services, and we often pair it with a video pipe inspection to confirm the line is clear and in good condition.

Hydro Jetting vs. Drain Snaking
Both have their place. Here is how they compare. For more detail, read our hydro jetting vs. snaking guide.
| Drain Snaking | Hydro Jetting | |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | A rotating cable breaks up or pulls out the clog | High-pressure water scours the pipe walls |
| Best for | Simple, isolated clogs | Grease, sludge, roots, and recurring clogs |
| Cleans pipe walls | Partially | Thoroughly |
| Long-term results | Clog may return if buildup remains | Restores near-full pipe diameter |

Hydro Jetting FAQs
What is hydro jetting?
Hydro jetting is a drain and sewer cleaning method that sends high-pressure water through the line with a specialized nozzle. The water scours grease, sludge, scale, and roots off the pipe walls and flushes the debris out, cleaning the full inside of the pipe instead of just punching a hole through the clog.
Is hydro jetting better than snaking?
It depends on the problem. Snaking works well for most simple clogs. Hydro jetting is better for heavy grease, sludge, roots, and lines that keep clogging, because it removes the buildup instead of just breaking through it. See our hydro jetting vs. snaking guide for a full comparison.
Is hydro jetting safe for my pipes?
For pipes in sound condition, yes. That is why we often recommend a camera inspection first. If a line is cracked, collapsed, or badly deteriorated, we will recommend repair instead of jetting.
Can hydro jetting remove tree roots?
Hydro jetting can cut and flush out roots that have grown into a sewer line. Because roots enter through cracks and joints, they often grow back, so we will let you know if the line needs repair to keep them out.
How often should drains be hydro jetted?
Most homes only need it when a problem develops. Restaurants and other businesses with heavy grease loads often benefit from scheduled jetting to prevent backups before they happen.
Do you offer hydro jetting for businesses?
Yes. We provide hydro jetting for restaurants, commercial kitchens, offices, and multi-unit properties as part of our commercial plumbing services.
